In honor of Women’s History Month, we are highlighting some of the amazing women that we work with as well as members of our team here at Clout.
Today, we’re highlighting Jamie Fairbanks, Director of Advisor Success at TIFIN Clout. Read on to get to know our incredible advisor success leader.
Clout: Jamie, can you share a bit about yourself and your family?
Jamie: I grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington! My parents are still up there, and my brother lives in Dubai and works in the commodities space. I studied Nursing and Psychology at Washington State University, Go Cougs! And I have a golden retriever, Tucker.
Clout: How did you enter into this career path?
Jamie: After traveling through Europe with my best friends after college graduation, I got home and a family friend (SVP at Curian Capital) here in Denver thought I’d be a great fit in financial services. I moved to Denver immediately, and I started as an Internal Business Consultant (wholesaler) at an RIA. I ran the West Coast territory with 60 advisors, got incredible experience and absolutely loved working in the advisor space.
Clout: Can you talk about some of the barriers that you’ve faced and how you overcame them?
Jamie: I’ve always taken opportunities in new spaces, and with that, I’ve had to immerse myself and be a self-starter and an avid learner. Trying to understand derivatives on the first week on the job with little to no financial knowledge wasn’t exactly a walk in the park and didn’t build my confidence level – Haha! But what I’ve learned is to not be afraid: ask questions, make mistakes, and learn from them. Utilize your resources and try to be 1% better each and every day.
Clout: What’s some advice that you would share with younger women?
Jamie: Say yes to new opportunities, embrace being uncomfortable and take risks. You will grow so much as a person during the peaks and especially during the valleys.

Clout: Can you share something that inspires you?
Jamie: Being a massive sports fan, Serena Williams is a huge inspiration to me because of her leadership, courage, and tenacity. She has proven her force of determination on and off the court.
